Hello Mini World!

It's January 2026 and life has been both busy and stressful.

I live in the United States and work for the federal government. The past year has been a very difficult. (Understatement of the century) Making miniatures has been my escape. I prefer the mini worlds I create to the real world over which I have no control.

In 2024 I bought an old dollhouse off of Facebook Marketplace.

It's the Victoria's Farmhouse model from Real Good Toys.

I jumped right in stripping it down and started remodeling it.

I pulled off the railings, shutters, doors, and woodwork. I stripped out any leftover wallpaper and removed the shingles.

And because I was having trouble figuring out what direction to take the interior design, I painted it white and the roof black to make a blank canvas.

I started to think about how to replace the front wall where the bay window used to be. I looked online and liked the idea of a wall of windows. So I laser cut prototype wall pieces and did a dry fit.

Unfortunately, that's as far as I got before life invaded and I got busy with both the day job and selling miniatures on Etsy. Then I fell and broke a rib, broke my wrist, and re-injured my rotator cuff. All dollhouse renovation was put on hold.

Fast forward a full year and I am finally recovered enough to get back to it. So here I am, starting over. More photos coming soon and progress updates to follow!
